Obituary: Geraldine "Jerry" Barbara Fletcher, 91, of West Haven
Jerry, always known as a hard worker, was devoted to her family, her friends and her beloved German Shepard Sable.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Geraldine Barbara Fletcher, 91 years young, died peacefully on July 6, 2021 at her home in West Haven.
She was the wife of the late John R. Fletcher, Sr. Jerry leaves five children, Lisa Andrews, John (Linda) Fletcher, Jr., Susan (Cary) Hagenbaumer, Barbara (Ray Boynton) Fletcher and Jim (Lori) Fletcher, a sister Lois (Vinny) Romei, many grandchildren and great grandchildren too numerous to list but each and every one special to her.
Last but certainly not least, her German Shepard Sable, who was always by her side other than when she and Jerry were playing fetch in the yard, a high point in Jerry’s life.
Jerry worked full time up to the age of 87, and lived her life on her own terms in her own way.
In addition to her husband Jack, Jerry was predeceased by her sister Verna Larke and brother Louis (Sonny) DelGuidice.
Jerry’s family offers a special thank you to Abralyne, Sandra and Lily who took care of Mom as if she was their own.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will take place on Monday July 12 from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
