Obituary: Helen Mary Michaud, 58, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Helen Mary Michaud, 58, of West Haven, passed away, with her family by her side, on April 24, 2021. She was the loving wife of William E. Michaud for the past 30 years.

Helen was born in Milford, CT, daughter of the late Richard Vaughn and Ruthene Barthel. She is also survived by her children, Charles “CJ” (Casandra) Romanos of Cheshire, Anthony Romanos of Cheshire, Mariah Michaud of Naugatuck and William G.A. Michaud of West Haven, her grandchildren, Jonathan, Adam, Chase and Luca, and her siblings, Annette Ficociello of Maine, Valarie Vaughn (Edward Venable) of Ohio, Susan Vaughn of West Haven and Richard (Martha) Vaughn Jr. of Killingworth.

Helen spent her days gardening, laying in the sun by the pool, and spending time with her family. Helen enjoyed going to the shooting range, vacationing to Treasure Island, Florida, and making homemade pizza with her grandsons. She was known for her collection of hot air balloons and her love for butterflies and dreamcatchers. She was an admirable and loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, friend, and more.
