Obituary: John W. Crouth Jr., 60, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): John W. Crouth Jr., affectionately known as “Jack,” 60, entered into eternal rest on Feb. 6, 2021. John was born on April 1, 1960 in New Haven to the late John W. Crouth Sr. and Theresa Gallagher Crouth.

John was predeceased by his brother Robert Crouth & survived by his beloved daughter, Whitney Crouth and her fiance, Manuel Aviles, his former wife, Dorian Crouth (Della Camera), his brother Peter Crouth, his two granddaughters, Juliana & Jaelyn Aviles, his sister-in-law, Kimberly Della Camera, his niece, Melissa Serna, & many beloved cousins & friends.

John was a kind person with a big heart. He loved his family, especially his two granddaughters who affectionately referred to him as “Poppy.” He had the ability to put a smile on anyone’s face that crossed his path whether it was a friend or stranger, making him a friend to all.

John enjoyed fishing, listening to music, spending time with his family, & traveling. He was a very skilled man and was known to be a “Jack of all trades.” John also had a passion for the many different pet parrots he owned throughout his life and leaves behind his beloved pet dachshund, Nelson.

Although Jack will truly be missed by all who knew him, he has now joined his beloved Mother, Father, & Brother in Heaven that he missed so dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 12 at 12 noon at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Friends and family are welcome. Donations may be made to the family.
