The weather this week in Connecticut won’t be boring as we have back-to-back days of rain showers coming up and then a cooldown, which could bring some light accumulating snow to the state on Friday.
At this point, the rain is more of a given than the snow. The chance for snow is around 30 percent at this time for Friday but as we know by now, you never know.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote, “Small risk for accumulating snow on Friday. It wouldn't be much and right now our computer models only show a 10-20 percent chance for seeing an inch. We'll watch it.”
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, “Sunshine with temperatures in the 50s today! It does look like a little bit of rain tomorrow and Wednesday. Temperatures may reach the 60s on Wednesday with some ⛈! Some light snow possible on Friday!!!

However, one of the biggest imminent concerns is there may be some “Spring-like flooding on the Connecticut River thanks to snowmelt up north. The river is expected to crest a couple inches above flood stage tonight,” Hanrahan said.
A Flood Warning has been issued for areas along the Connecticut River at Hartford affecting Hartford and Middlesex Counties. Areas specifically impacted include Hartford, Wethersfield, Glastonbury, and Portland, according to the National Weather Service. Minor flooding is possible here, the National Weather Service states.
