West Haven Man Burglarized Liquor Store In Wallingford: Police
Two men have been arrested in connection with the burglary, according to police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — Two men are accused of breaking into a liquor store in Wallingford early Saturday morning, according to police.
Police responded to One Stop Liquor, 1056 South Colony Rd., shortly after midnight for a burglar alarm and found the front window had been smashed out, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.
The suspects, Daniel Girdzis, 36, of East Haven, and Adis Kacar, 35, of West Haven, were later found in New Haven and taken back to Wallingford and arrested.

The arrests stem from a joint investigation by police in Wallingford, Guilford and North Branford into a string of commercial burglaries, according to Jaques.
Jaques said police found that Kacar had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation and a small amount of drugs was also found during the arrest process.

Kacar, of Campbell Avenue, was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. He was being held in lieu of an $80,000 bond with a court date of March 19.
Girdzis, of Hemmingway Avenue, was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. He was being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond with a court date of March 19.
