West Haven Residents Receive COVID-19 Vaccine: Here's How Many
State health officials released data for the first time that shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.
WEST HAVEN, CT — A total of 3,649 West Haven residents received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of Feb. 1, according to the state Department of Public Health.
There are 54,620 West Haven residents and 6.68 percent of them have received their first dose of the vaccine. West Haven has 3,494 residents over the age of 75 and 1,108 of them have received their first dose, or 31.71 percent, according to state health officials.
In nearby towns, Milford has disseminated the vaccine to 10.64 percent of its population, Orange is at 15.37 percent and New Haven is at 7.27 percent.

Since the pandemic began in March, West Haven has reported 4,158 cases and 97 deaths.
