West Haven’s Prisco Earns CCC Defensive Honors

West Haven's Gabriella Prisco has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse.

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven’s Gabriella Prisco, a senior on the Endicott women’s lacrosse team, was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday.

Endicott junior Morgan Pike, of Shapleigh Maine, was named the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week.

Pike, played a big role in Endicott's dominant wins over Nichols (23-0) and Wentworth (22-4). Pike finished the week with a 12-point total, scoring three goals against the Bison, and followed that up by scoring four goals and assisting on five, giving her a career-high nine points, against the Leopards.

Prisco was key in Endicott's two victories this week. As a unit, the Gulls held their opponents to just four goals across the two matchups, including a shutout of the Bison.

Individually, Prisco collected two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and controlled 11 draws. In addition to her defensive prowess, she recorded five assists and five goals on the offensive side.
