West Haven Winter Storm Update: Stay Off The Roads, Officials Say

Officials are urging residents to stay of the roads so that crews can clear them.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Public Works Commissioner Tom J. McCarthy is urging West Haven residents to stay off the roads so that DPW crews can safely clear them, officials said in an update on Thursday afternoon.

“Road conditions are hazardous, and many motor vehicle accidents have been reported,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “Please stay home and off the roads. Also, please be patient during the snow removal process. Every neighborhood will be plowed. Friday’s trash and recycling pickups are expected to be on schedule. Thank you for your cooperation, and stay safe.”
