Beach Parking Lot To Temporarily Close In West Haven
Repair work was planned for the parking lot earlier this year but delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.

WEST HAVEN, CT — The Sea Bluff Beach parking lot will be closed for repairs from April 16-23.
The work will include removing the deteriorated and unsafe timber wall that divides the parking lot and beach, said Ernie Chiarelli, the project coordinator and sidewalk inspector for the Department of Public Works.
Chiarelli said the wall helps prevent beach sand from blowing across the parking lot and onto Ocean Avenue.

The project will be done by the Frankson Fence Co. of North Haven and paid for by a state Local Capital Improvement Program grant.
The new wall will be composed of a timber guardrail that is higher than the existing wall, without obstructing the view, and more aesthetically appealing, Chiarelli said.
