Winter Weather Advisory Now Issued For West Haven

Well that escalated quickly, which is often the case with the weather in New England. The National Weather Service has now issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the coastal communities in New Haven County including: Milford, Orange, West Haven, New Haven, East Haven, Guilford, Branford, and Madison.

Saturday looks dry but cold with temps stuck in the mid 30s and the wind chill will make it feel like 15 degrees at times. There could be more snow on Sunday night but that is just a 30 percent chance as of right now, but of course we all know how quickly things change.

The National Weather Service says:

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on snow covered roads, including during the evening commute. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut and southeast New York.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
