Zuppardi’s Apizza Truck Offering Driveway Deliveries

West Haven's famous Zuppardi's Apizza announced that its pizza truck is offering driveway service due to restrictions over coronavirus.

WEST HAVEN, CT — In the wake of Gov. Ned Lamont's order to close restaurants in Connecticut due to the new coronavirus, West Haven’s famous Zuppardi’s Apizza has announced its pizza truck is offering driveway service to your home. Beginning Friday, March 20, Zuppardi’s will be scheduling 30-minute appointments to arrive at your home where they will prepare your order.

ā€œRemember: all sites must be private property with driveway access, as we are NOT permitted to park and/or serve food on the street or to the public,ā€ Zuppardi’s wrote in a post on Facebook. ā€œAll orders will be made and paid for prior to our arrival.

ā€œPlease note that this is NOT a ā€˜pizza party’ equivalent—we are simply looking for ways to provide our customers with pizza in the safest, most convenient way, while abiding by the new state-wide restrictions.ā€

Zuppardi’s said they will schedule appointments using a town-by-town approach, ā€œdoing our best to provide fresh, hot Zuppardi’s pizza while practicing the most sensible social distancing.ā€

ā€œWe ask that during our operation customers do not congregate around the truck, as we will be there strictly to provide you and your families with fresh pizza to enjoy inside your home!ā€ Zuppardi’s said. ā€œOrders will be placed before our arrival, and we will require a $60 minimum on all driveway service orders.ā€
