Florida State University & State Farm team up for Quotes for Good

Educating and Empowering Students and Professionals in the field of Hispanic Marketing

State Farm and The Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication at Florida State University (the Center) have teamed up for the Quotes for Good program. This State Farm program will provide the Center the opportunity to further educate and prepare their students in careers in Hispanic marketing communication through financial contribution from State Farm agents.

State Farm supports Hispanic organizations that empower their communities through programs that support educational development, workforce development, and leadership development. The Center is a first-of-its-kind organization that is devoted to educating students and professionals in the field of U.S. Hispanic marketing and advertising.

“The State Farm Quotes for Good program was created for State Farm agents to help make a difference in their communities,” says Jose Soto, State Farm Corporate Responsibility Analyst. “This program is a great way for State Farm to help the Center educate students and professionals in the field of Hispanic Marketing. At the same time, State Farm agents can also provide customers with a comprehensive understanding of their insurance needs and coverage.”

From March 2 to June 1, 2020, any new or existing State Farm customer can call or visit any of the 17 Tallahassee area State Farm agents and request an auto, homeowners, or renters insurance quote and mention the Center for Hispanic Marketing at FSU. The Tallahassee State Farm agent will then donate $10.00 to the Center’s endowment fund for each quote. The endowment provides funding to recruit top-tier students and provide them with scholarships to study at FSU.

The State Farm gifts will enable the Center to assist many more students in their goals of reaching the Hispanic community through marketing communication, regardless of their financial status. Students working with the Center are conducting groundbreaking research and serving as an innovative resource for the Hispanic marketing industry.
