5 Reasons Miami Will Win Orange Bowl

Aside from home field advantage, we came up with 5 other reasons the Hurricanes will prevail in Saturday's Orange Bowl.

CORAL GABLES, FL — When ACC coach of the year Mark Richt leads his Hurricanes through the Hard Rock Stadium tunnel on Saturday night, he'll be going home.

"It's going to feel like home because it is home for us," the University of Miami coach told reporters earlier this week as his team prepared to take on the University of Wisconsin Badgers in Saturday's Orange Bowl.

"We're getting the same bowl experience. It's just we only have to go about 45 minutes to get there," Richt insisted after his team landed at the oceanfront Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Florida following a pleasant bus ride from the next county over.

Aside from home field advantage, here are five other reasons the Hurricanes will prevail in their first Orange Bowl appearance since the 2003 season:

1. We have a turnover chain — and now a turnover mural. Nobody knows exactly what this does for the team, but it's all about the bling in Miami.

2. Miami fans do that cool thing with their hands. Watch as Coach Richt demonstrates how it's done:

3. A Zoo Miami macaw picked the Hurricanes to win. The exotic bird didn't exactly back up its pick with clear rationale — as if it were, you know asking for a cracker — but it is clear that Buddy saw Miami's victory well within the grasp of his talons. Watch Buddy make his Orange Bowl pick:

4. Sunburn factor. Take a pasty group of teenage boys out of the Wisconsin tundra and thrust them into the Florida sunshine. There are bound to be consequences come game time. And, please Badgers, stop calling it a lake. It's the Atlantic Ocean. Watch below as the Badgers try desperately to acclimate before Saturday.

5. Miami fans are tough like our team. Watch below as this nurse demonstrates just how tough we are:
