Coast Guard Rescues 7 Near Coconut Grove
The 38-foot pleasure craft began taking on water Sunday evening in Biscayne Bay.

COCONUT GROVE, FL — Seven people were rescued from a sinking boat near Coconut Grove Sunday night, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The 38-foot pleasure craft began taking on water in Biscayne Bay. Miami-Dade Fire Boat 73 assisted in the rescue.
The Miami-Dade Police Department called in the report to the Coast Guard shortly after 8:30 p.m.

"A Coast Guard Station Miami 33-foot Special Purpose Craft-Law Enforcement crew arrived on scene, dewatered the boat with assistance from Miami-Dade Fire Boat 73, put the vessel in tow and transferred it to Dinner Key Marina with no reported injuries from the seven people that were aboard the pleasure craft," the Coast Guard reported on Monday.
