More Than $100K Investment Puts Cape Royal among Leading Courses in Florida - Celebrities, Residents & Public to Participate in Event Today

CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA – January 13, 2018 – Cape Royal Golf Club, which in 2017 underwent the start of a transformative redevelopment plan, will host its official season kickoff tournament today, Saturday, January 13, 2018. New features at the course this year include new greens, new clubhouse design, a new bar and restaurant, updated cuisine, new bathroom facilities, new golf carts and championship service staff managed by Green Golf Partners (GGP).
“The reaction to the reopening of the Cape Royal Golf Club has been beyond expectations,” said Don Weigand, president of the Cape Royal Homeowners Association. “Getting back to playing golf has restored a missing element in our great community. The Caloosa Club, our newly renovated bar/restaurant, has generated a level of excitement among golfers and non-golfers at Cape Royal. Green Golf Partners can be proud of what has been accomplished since the lease signing earlier in 2017. We are very happy with our relationship, and look forward to a great 2018.”
Cape Royal Golf Club is a family-friendly, full-service club open to the public featuring some of the finest golf course design and mouth-watering fresh cuisine in Cape Coral area. General Manager Tyler Arnold, Golf Superintendent Greg Coyne, PGA Assistant Professional and Teaching Professional Greg Doll, and Executive Chef Mark Thomas lead the management team in 2018.

“What we see happening today is what we envisioned when we took over caring for and ultimately buying the golf course property,” said Tom Cooper, director at large of the Cape Royal Homes Owners Association. “The partnership between GGP and the HOA is a grand example of what can be accomplished when all involved share common goals and work in concert to achieve them.”
The four-player tournament will be open to the public starting with a 10:30 a.m. shotgun start. The cost is $60 per person. World Long Drive Champion Bobby Bradley of Wellington, Florida, will host a long drive contest. The winner who gets a Double Eagle from one of their drives will qualify to win a trip to play at Pebble Beach Golf Club in Monterey, California in 2018*.

GGP manages 17 golf courses and golf clubs in five states, including Kemper Lakes Golf Club in suburban Chicago which will host the 2018 KPMG Women's PGA Championship this June.
“We are ecstatic to be creating a crown jewel in Cape Coral where all golfers and non-golfers are welcome,” said Matt McIntee, CEO of Green Golf Partners. “The golf course transformation thats underway is first rate and it is a fun course to play.
