Armed Man Barricades Self In Escalade After Crash, Gives Up
Police say a man, who had weapons on him, crashed his Escalade into a tree and refused for a while to come out of the car.
CORAL GABLES, FL — A man barricaded himself in his car Monday with several weapons before police were able to take him into custody, according to reports. At least one of the weapons was a rifle.
The Miami Herald reports police as saying the man, whose identity has not been released, into a tree around 9 a.m. near Le Jeune Road and Navarre Avenue. Police responded and saw the weapons in the man's car and ordered him out.
CBS Miami reported the man, was was in a Cadillac Escalade, refused to get out of the car.

Coral Gables' SWAT team arrived and he was later taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries or shots fired.
It's unclear whether the man is being charged with a crime.
