Hit-And-Run Driver Sought In Coconut Grove

COCONUT GROVE, FL — Miami police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver of a light blue Jaguar that may have been involved in a Coconut Grove hit-and-run crash earlier this month. The crash left 85-year-old David Hertizig in critical condition, according to Miami police.

"The driver is wanted for questioning in a possible hit-and-run traffic crash in the area of SW 37 Avenue and Charles Terrace," explained Officer Kiara Delva of the Miami Police Department in asking for the public's help on Friday.

She said that the crash occurred on Sept. 24 shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Hertizig was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition, Delva added.
