Coral Gables is home to seven unique villages located throughout the City Beautiful, each with its own different international influence. Incorporated into the City’s early development by founder George Merrick himself, these thematic housing developments all have their own distinct architectural style.

The French Normandy Village, constructed in 1926 and located in the 400 block of Vizcaya Avenue at Le Jeune Road, whisks residents and visitors back in time to 15th century England and France. Although the houses are now are privately owned, they have quite a history. Dating back to the 1930s, they were used to house male students from the University of Miami. Later during World War II, they housed soldiers.

While the structures within the village have undergone a series of modifications throughout the years, they continue to stay true to their original design and Merrick's vision.
