The sidewalk extension program aligns with the City's Strategic Plan which aims to: enhance the pedestrian experience, safety, and connectivity through crosswalks and sidewalks, improve mobility, and increase mobility options for the community.

Since October 2020, the City has completed 52 individual sidewalk extensions with an additional eight scheduled through September. Residents are encouraged to send locations they believe are in need of sidewalk extensions topwdepartment@coralgabes.com.
