Saturn Watch: View The Planet At The Deering Estate Next Week
The Southern Cross Astronomical Society presents Saturn Watch at the Deering Estate on Wednesday, June 27 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

MIAMI, FL - The Southern Cross Astronomical Society presents Saturn Watch at the Deering Estate on Wednesday, June 27 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be telescopes on-site to view the giant planet up close.
The cost is $7 for ages 4 and older. The event is free for Deering Estate Foundation members. Members must RSVP on Eventbrite and show membership card upon event entrance at main gate.
Tickets can be purchased online here or by calling 305-235-1668 ext. 233 and are non-refundable, rain or shine.

The organization says Saturn will be at its closest approach to Earth, fully illuminated by the sun.
The Deering Estate is a museum and an environmental preserve listed on the National Register of Historic Places, owned by the state of Florida and managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department.

The Deering Estate preserves the 1920 era Miami estate of Charles Deering, Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist and first chairman of the International Harvester Co.
