CORAL GABLES, FL — A University of Miami student flipped their car into a campus canal on Thursday night, according to the school newspaper. The paper posted video of the vehicle being hoisted out of the canal. The crash occurred near the Whitten University Center, according to The Miami Hurricane.
University spokesperson Megan Ondrizek confirmed that the crash took place on the Coral Gables campus, but she did know what caused the car to flip over.
"There was an accident and there were no injuries," Ondrizek told Patch late Thursday. "The driver walked away fine."
