WeDesign Event Offers Training, Networking, and a Contest to Improve Miami’s A.M. Commute

Ironhack, Miami’s #1 student-rated full curriculum digital design bootcamp, will present its first WeDesign event for entrepreneurs and aspiring digital design professionals on Saturday, 6/24 and Sunday, 6/25 at Cambridge Innovation Center, 1951 Northwest 7th Avenue in Miami. The two day workshop will feature over 10 hours of intensive training in web design, networking opportunities with Miami’s top designers, and a competition – with prizes – to create a mobile app prototype that aims to improve the Miami metro morning commuting experience.

“Ironhack’s WeDesign weekend bootcamp has been offered at our campus in Madrid, and we’re thrilled to bring this fun event to Miami,” says Marisa Bruno, Program Manager at Ironhack. “Participants of any background or experience level will benefit from our intensive crash course in how to use the most popular design tools, leverage their newfound skills to boost their career options, and share their creative visions to improve the Miami community.”

The weekend WeDesign event will include the following:

● Expert instruction from Miami’s top design pros and representatives from NYC-based InVision, as well as talks from industry experts like Jimena Quan, Digital Product Manager at Visa

● Instruction in Sketch and InVision, two of the industry’s most popular wireframing, prototyping, and product design platforms

● An opportunity to enter an app prototype that would improve the Miami morning commute into a competition with awards

● Complimentary breakfast, lunch, parking, a Saturday networking happy hour, and a swag bag

Ironhack’s WeDesign event for entrepreneurs and aspiring digital design professionals of all skill levels will take place from 9:00am to 5:30pm on Saturday, 6/24 and Sunday, 6/25 at Cambridge Innovation Center, 1951 Northwest 7th Avenue in Miami. A laptop is required for participation (iPads and other tablets aren’t usable). Enrollment is open, but space is limited.
