What To Do With Political Yard Signs Now That Elections Are Over

Now that elections are over don’t trash your political signs, give them new life. Yard signs are typically made from materials that are not accepted in most single stream recycling programs, including here in Coral Gables. Reusing those post-election yard signs and H frames are an inexpensive and eco-friendly way to keep them from ending up in landfills.

Some ideas to repurpose these materials include painting and personalizing the signs, using them for special events and yard sales, or making a DIY storage box. The metal H frames can be used for things like anchoring holiday lights or to support plants such as tomatoes in your home vegetable garden.
