Dunedin Triathlon Raises $3K For Island Parks

The Rotary Club of Dunedin's 10th annual triathlon raised more than a few dollars for Friends of the Island Parks on June 9.

"Three dollars," Jonathan Skinner, rotary member, said as he presented a giant $3,000 check to the Friends at Honeymoon Island's Rotary Centennial Nature Center on June 25, alongside Lynn Wargo, outgoing rotary president, and Chuck Dean, incoming president.

"We have problems with decimals," Skinner joked.

The Dunedin Triathlon, a swimming, running and bicycling race held on the causeway and Honeymoon Island, saw about 900 participants this year, the largest attendance in event history, organizers have said.
