Meet the Rays Fan Behind Dunedin Patch's Facebook Cover Photo

Have you seen Dunedin Patch's latest Facebook cover photo? Get to know the Dunedin woman who snapped the photo!

Dunedin resident Anne Hansen snapped a spring training moment at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium capturing this month's Dunedin Patch Facebook cover photo.

Her shot captures a Toronto Blue Jays player in mid-air as he's turning a double play on Tampa Bay Rays prospect Wil Myers sliding into second base.

We noticed Hansen's photo in the Dunedin Patch online community scrapbook and thought it would be a great way to celebrate spring training in Dunedin during March.

It isn't the first time we've noticed her sports photos, especially of the Tampa Bay Rays, so we thought we'd learn more about the photographer who is behind the amazing shots.

Lives In: Formerly of Port Richey, she is now a happy 12-year resident of Dunedin with her husband Lloyd

Shoots With: Nikon D7000

What Inspires Her: "Florida has so many varied landscapes to shoot.

"I love seeing a story through my eyes and I try to tell that story through my pictures. I love people and  that makes it such a joy to take pictures. I love watching the youngsters at Tropicana Field and how excited they get watching the game. Many times I take snaps of a family and send them to them. Families sometimes tell me they don't have the money to have the photographer take them and so that makes it even nicer for me to be able share the photos I take at Tropicana Field."

Why She's a Rays Fan: "I love baseball and having been born in New York I grew up with brothers who loved the Yankees. When the family moved to Queens I became an ardent NY Mets fan. I was delighted to say the least when St. Petersburg was able to land the Rays as the professional baseball team."

Great Photo Moments: "I have some autographs from David Price, Evan Longoria, Carlos Pena, Sam Fuld and will hopefully add more. Spring training offers opportunities for great photos of the various players. It's always fun trying to track them down but even more fun taking pictures. I was especially delighted to attend all the games in 2008.

"The celebration that followed on the field allowed me the opportunity of some celebratory shots I would never have gotten if I didn't have my camera."
