Traffic Advisory: Causeway Construction Project Underway
One lane of westbound traffic is closed on Causeway Boulevard for a months-long water main replacement project expected to be completed later this year.
Crews began work this week on a months-long project to replace water mains along Causeway Boulevard and at Cedar and Curlew creeks, city records indicate.
One westbound lane is closed to traffic, as of Feb. 5.
The roughly $2 million project first replaces a 18-inch PVC and ductile iron water main that runs along 1,700 feet of the north side of Causeway Boulevard near the the Bascule drawbridge, city records say.

One of the mains cuts across 300 feet of Cedar Creek. The other water main crosses 450 feet of Curlew Creek on the golf course at Dunedin Golf Club, city records indicate.
Some surface restoration of driveway and sidewalk pavements, final grading, and sodding will be needed.
The project is slated for completion in December.
