94 Townhomes Could Come to Roosevelt Blvd. Lot

As part of plans to be annexed to the city, a property owner intends to develop a former mobile home park near Bolesta Road and Roosevelt Boulevard into 94 town homes.

A former mobile home park on the outskirts at the city’s northeast border could soon be the site of 94 town homes.

Largo city leaders unanimously approved adding the more than 9-acre property into the city at the commission meeting Tuesday night.

Part of the deal includes offering the property owner, HR Roosevelt Commons, $24,000 in incentives if the site at the corner of Bolesta Road and Roosevelt Boulevard is developed.

The money would be reimbursed to the property owner for site improvements including drainage, landscaping and environmental improvement.

“Those incentives were determined in the public use,” said Jesus Nino, the city’s principal planner, “But those incentives can only be used if the property is developed.”
