Largo Youth Soccer Coach Accused Of Possessing Child Pornography

LARGO, Fla. - A Largo youth soccer coach was arrested after being accused of possessing child pornography.
Lonnie Smith, 28, was charged with 11 counts of possessing child pornography, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives said they began investigating Smith after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning an online account that had downloaded multiple child pornography videos.

Detectives confirmed that Smith was the sole user of the account. He admitted in an interview that he sent and received child pornography through a social media app.
Smith served as a coach with a Largo-area youth soccer organization.
