Those seeking a bouncing bunny or a feathered friend can adopt a "pocket pet" from the SPCA Tampa Bay​ for free through Friday, June 30.

LARGO, FL — Those seeking a bouncing bunny or a feathered friend can adopt a "pocket pet" from the SPCA Tampa Bay for free through Friday, June 30.

The SPCA Tampa Bay is waiving adoption fees for certain pocket pets including birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and rates. Adoption fees for pocket pets normally run from $10 to $30.

Animals are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and potential adopters are encouraged to come early to the shelter. A carrier or housing that's appropriate for travel is required for adoption.
