Animal Services Seeks Homes For 124 Cats After Owner Dies
Following the death of a cat lover who hoarded more than 125 cats, Animal Services is attempting to find them new homes.

LARGO, FL — Following the death of a cat lover who hoarded more than 125 cats, Pinellas County Animal Services is attempting to find them new homes.
Animal Services removed 124 cats from the home and assisted the pet owner's relatives with vaccinating and sterilizing five other cats that the family will keep.
Of the 124 cats taken into custody, 83 were transferred to rescue partners in Pinellas and Sarasota counties; seven are under medical care; 17 have been adopted through Animal Services and pet store partners; and two have been returned to their original owners.
