Botanical Gardens To Host 2017 Gift And Plant Sale
Taking place among the Holiday Lights in the Gardens, the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation will host its largest event of the year.

LARGO, FL – From Thanksgiving to New Year’s, the Florida Botanical Gardens becomes a winter wonderland with its Holiday Lights in the Gardens. And in this beautiful atmosphere, the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation hosts its biggest fundraiser of the year.
The Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation will host its 2017 Gift and Plant Sale on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the gardens, located at 12520 Ulmerton Road in Largo. More than 40 vendors will offer a wide assortment of plants and other natural and handmade products great for gifts during the holidays.
Admission is a suggested donation of $4 for visitors ages 13 and older. Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation members will have their fee waived as a gift for their year-round support for the gardens. Proceeds from the sale and donations will help fund garden improvement projects throughout the year.

Nearly half of this year’s vendors will feature landscape, culinary and decorative plants, including a large variety of tropical, Florida natives, shrubs, bamboos, bananas, succulents, orchids, annuals, vegetable plans, ginger, vines, hibiscus, butterfly plants, perennials, herbs, citrus, bromeliads, begonias, crotons, cordylines, palms and fruit trees.
Specialty vendors will have items such as handmade jewelry crafted from sterling silver, natural and recycled materials; yard and garden art and décor; botanical skincare products and cosmetics; organic clothing, purses and nature-themed shirts; native plant books and information; vintage containers; home décor; and handmade cotton quilted items.

Along with the Gift and Plant Sale, the gardens’ Botanical Bounty Gift shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
