Botanical Gardens Seeks Volunteers For Holiday Lights
More than 450 volunteers are needed to support the event that runs from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve.

LARGO, FL – Thousands of people come to Largo each holiday season to enjoy the Holiday Lights display at the Florida Botanical Gardens. However, it takes hundreds of volunteers to put on the display every year.
The Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation currently is seeking volunteers to staff multiple positions and shifts during Holiday Lights in the Garden. This year, the event runs from Friday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Dec. 31 nightly from 5 to 9:15 p.m.
More than 450 volunteers are needed as greeters, gift cart attendants and entertainer during the five-week event. The foundation is looking for musicians, dancers and performers to entertain guests as they walk through the gardens.

The Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation has hosted Holiday Lights in the Garden since 2000. The foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year, Holiday Lights in the Garden helps fund maintenance and improvements to the gardens as well as maintaining and adding new displays for the next year’s Holiday Lights event.
The Florida Botanical Gardens is located at 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo, with an alternate entrance at 12211 Walsingham Road. The garden is open from 7 a.m. until dusk every day, with free admission during daylight hours.
