Curbside Debris Pickup Scheduled For Unincorporated Pinellas: Hurricane Irma
Debris contractors will begin storm debris collection in unincorporated Pinellas Monday. Residents should place debris in sorted piles.

LARGO, FL — Pinellas County Public Works crews are clearing storm debris in roads from Hurricane Irma, and will begin a second phase of recovery in unincorporated Pinellas Monday. (Subscribe to the Largo Patch for all Hurricane Irma-related news.)
Debris contractors will begin storm debris collection Monday, giving returning residents enough time to collect their storm debris. There are still many traffic lights out, power lines down and significant amount of debris blocking roadways as of Wednesday, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office announced.
Residents should place their debris in sorted piles at the public right-of-way for curbside collection.

The debris will be taken to a temporary storage site before it is recycled or disposed of. Residents are asked to sort debris by item type and place them in separate piles.
Construction and demolition debris consists of building material like roof shingles and siding, drywall, lumber, carpet, furniture and plumbing. Vegetation debris includes fallen tree branches and logs.

Do not stack debris against trees, poles, fire hydrants or storm drains. Make sure debris is placed further than 10-feet from the curb.
