Free amplified telephones for Florida residents with hearing loss

FTRI Providing FREE amplified phones

Any Florida resident with a hearing loss qualifies for a FREE amplified telephone. Yes, free ,this program has been available since 1991! It is paid for by a tax on all land lines in the state. It provides amplified phones that are cordless or with a cord, there is one that helps people who have a cell phone. The cell phone must have bluetooth and unlimited minutes. You are not required to wear hearing aids only to have a hearing loss.

These phones open up communication for so many people, take advantage of something that can improve your life.

We are a non Profit organization, Family Center on Deafness and we work with Florida Telecommunications Relay Inc, to provide this service. Our office is in Largo and we go monthly to Gulfport and Dunedin.
