Heritage Village To Host 2017 Country Jubilee
The Country Jubilee offers seasonal crafts, live music and other entertainment at the Pinellas County historical site.

LARGO, FL – For the 39th year in a row, Pinellas County residents can enjoy a down-home celebration and support Heritage Village.
The Pinellas County Historical Society will host the annual Country Jubilee on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Heritage Village, 11909 125th St. N. in Largo. Proceeds from the event will support Heritage Village’s operational costs.
Suggested admission for the event is a $4 donation, with children 12 and younger admitted free. First Baptist church of Indian Rocks, 12685 Ulmerton Road, will host free event parking and free shuttle service.

Country Jubilee will also mark the opening of the Gulf of Mexico Sponge Warehouse. The 1930s sponge warehouse was moved to Heritage Village in 2004. The restored building includes a new exhibit featuring sponging artifacts.
More than 80 craft vendors will sell homemade items, including stained glass, jewelry, photography, paintings, doll clothing, soap, candles and holiday decorations. Food vendors will offer hot dogs, corn dogs, sausage sandwiches, Greek salad, pizza, kettle corn, desserts, and sandwiches made with pulled pork smoked in the Village’s smokehouse.

Charlie Bill, the Leigh and Steve Humes Duo and Chant the Trees will perform live on the bandstand during the event. Other entertainment scheduled for the Country Jubilee include:
- Bluegrass jam sessions in front of the Walsingham House
- Model boat building and sailing at the McKay Creek Boat Shop
- Ukulele lessons at the McMullen-Coachman Log Cabin
- Flea market
- Syrup-making demonstration by the Largo Historical Society
- Morse code demonstration by the Morse Telegraph Club, Florida Chapter
- Four Men and Their Trains enthusiast club
- Pinellas Wavers Guild, Heritage Stitchers and the Heritage Quilters exhibits
- The Tampa Bay Basket Makers and St. Petersburg Woodcrafter Guild exhibits
Heritage Village is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and is closed on all Pinellas County holidays.
