Holiday Lights in the Gardens Set to Shine Soon

The annual event at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo kicks off later this week.

Florida Botanical Gardens kicks off its holiday observance Friday when it turns the lights on its annual display that draws visitors from all over the Tampa Bay area.

Holiday Lights in the Gardens gets under way Nov. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Largo venue, 12520 Ulmerton Road. During the annual run, the gardens are lit up for the holidays and visitors are invited to stroll through, enjoying the flora and seasonal decorations.

The event runs nightly Nov. 28 through Dec. 31 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

In addition to the lights, visitors will find nightly live entertainment, visits from Santa Claus, and food and beverages available for purchase. The suggested donation is $4 a person with children 12 and under free. The Botanical Bounty gift shop will also stay open each night.

Proceeds benefit from the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation.
