October 19, 2019 ~ A luncheon cookout was provided to the Largo veterans by Elks Largo. The
service organization also used a Elks grant to have all windows solar filmed. The Elks Mission Statement is to inculcate the principles of Charity,Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care and Elks Share. The Elks have attributed to an increased quality of life for our veterans for many years now.
The mission of Liberty Manor for Veterans, Inc. is to promote the developmental and social needs of disabled and honorably discharged veterans who have fallen victim to homelessness providing transitional, supported housing and establishing objectives designed to attribute to self-sufficiency.
