Largo To Host Neighborhood Drive-By 4th Of July Parade

LARGO, FL – Although Largo's fireworks have been canceled, the city of Largo is showing its patriotism with a socially distanced drive-by salute for residents on the Fourth of July.

This celebration, which will drive through Largo neighborhoods from 10 to 11:30am on July 4, will feature a patriotic decorated float followed by city vehicles, including the Largo Leaf, Bookmobile, Largo Police motorcycles and one of the Largo Fire Rescue station trucks. Largo city leaders and the city commission, along with Largo Police, Fire Rescue, Library, Recreation and Communication & Engagement departments will take part.

The parade will start in Highpoint, making its way through neighborhoods along East Bay Drive, Largo Central Park, downtown Largo, ending at Trotter Road.

The city is encouraging residents neighborhoods to stand in their driveways and wave their flags, dance to the patriotic-themed playlist and wave with practicing safe social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing masks when not able to socially distance.
