Largo Leaders Postpone Large City Events Due To Coronavirus Scare
As of Friday, March 13, through the end of the month, the City of Largo will postpone large city events.

LARGO, FL — Following the guidance of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as of Friday, March 13, through the end of the month, the City of Largo will postpone large city events.
The City of Largo’s Emergency Management and leadership met Friday and agreed to postpone events "for the safety and well-being of event staff, participants and the community."
Events to be postponed include the Shamrock’n Run, Movies in Largo Central Park, McGough Nature Parks Feed the Critters Food Truck Rally and all performances at the Central Park Performing Arts Center.

Those planning to attend these events should hold on to registrations and tickets. The city will try to reschedule events in the near future.
City facilities, including recreation centers and the Largo Public Library, will remain open at this time and staff will follow CDC guidance on preventing the spread of disease.

The City of Largo Emergency Management team will remain in close contact with Pinellas County Emergency Management and the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas throughout this period to keep the community updated.
