Largo Man Accused Of Repeatedly Sexually Battering Girl Under 16
A 35-year-old Largo man has been accused of sexual battery on a child under the age of 16.

LARGO, FL — A 35-year-old Largo man has been accused of sexual battery on a child under the age of 16.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Steven Homel of Rodgers Avenue and the underage girl worked together. Deputies said he forced her into a bathroom and sexually battered her. He then threatened physical violence if she told anyone.
The girl told detectives that the sexual assaults began when she was 13 years old and occurred multiple times. In addition to threatening her if she told anyone, the girl said Homol gave her money and gifts in exchange for not revealing the abuse.

Homol was arrested Friday by St. Petersburg police on a different charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and unlawful use of a two-way communications device. On Saturday morning, detectives interviewed him at the Pinellas County Jail where they say he admitted to the sexual battery of the girl.
