Largo Safeway Opens Saturday

Largo, FL — Residents in the Largo area will have a new place to shop for groceries when the new Safeway opens its doors on Saturday. Located at 10500 Ulmerton Road, the new store celebrates its grand opening at 10 a.m. That’s also when stores in Altamonte Springs and Oakland Park will open their doors.

The new Largo store will feature an expanded natural and organic selection with more than 30 fresh juices pressed and packaged on-site daily. In addition, there’s an artisan pizza bar, multicultural hot food selections, bulk food items, a deli and local products from such partners as Mike’s Pies.

“Safeway is proud that these local stores are employing over 400 Floridians, and our team is excited to introduce Altamonte Springs, Largo and Oakland Park shoppers to our stores, savings programs, grocery delivery and other new offerings,” said Steve Burnham, Safeway’s eastern division president. “We take great pride in the new amenities that we’ve put into these stores as we’ve remodeled them over the last few months, and we look forward to providing the local community a valuable, exciting experience in our stores.”

Largo customers can also take advantage of the grocery chains just for U tool. This loyal program offers shoppers more than $300 in weekly savings through digital coupons and personalized deals. The tool is available on the Safeway app and via Safeway.com.

Grocery deliver is also part of the new store’s lineup of services. That program launched in Largo on June 16.

After Saturday’s grand opening, the Largo store will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight daily.
