Largo Wants Community's Feedback On Future Of City Golf Course
Largo has invited a technical assistance panel from the Urban Land Institute to evaluate options for the future use of the golf course.

LARGO, FL — Important changes are on the horizon for the Largo Municipal Golf Course. The City of Largo has invited a technical assistance panel from the Urban Land Institute to evaluate options for the future use of the golf course.
ULI professionals will explore the built and natural environment of the area and meet with stakeholders to develop recommendations that align with the community's vision and needs. It is important to note, the future of the course is not yet determined. The panel's recommendations and community input will be weighed by city leaders.
The 18-hole Largo Municipal Golf Course at 12500 Vonn Road opened in 1969 and was subsequently reconstructed in 2007. It is an 18-hole par 62 executive course with eight par-4 and 10 par-3 holes. It measures 3,300 yards from the longest tees and features two sets of tees for different skill levels, a large practice putting green, snack area and a fully stocked pro shop.

Community outreach will begin in the spring and will include customers of the course as well as residents, businesses and visitors of Largo. The panel will convene in the summer and report findings and recommendations at a Largo City Commission work session in August.
In the meantime, residents are invited to take a survey to share their experiences and ideas for improvements and future use. The survey takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete and will provide the technical assistance panel with insight on how the community feels about the future of the golf course.
