Largo's 6 WeatherSTEM Stations Warn When Bad Weather's On Way

Largo Fire Rescue has installed new web-based WeatherSTEM weather stations at its six fire stations.

LARGO, FL — To keep residents informed when bad weather on its way, Largo Fire Rescue has installed new web-based WeatherSTEM weather stations at its six fire stations.

The WeatherSTEM stations offer real-time weather information data and a live video feed from the station. Residents can also see time-lapse video from the station's cameras.

Using the WeatherSTEM website, residents can access all six weather stations in addition to other stations placed throughout the county by Pinellas County Emergency Management. With the six Largo fire stations, there are now 18 WeatherSTEM stations in Pinellas County including stations at Johns Hopkins Middle School, Dunedin Highland Middle School and Oak Grove Middle School.
