AtSPC, we pride ourselves on helping meet the needs of our community and connecting local residents with employers,” Dr. Tashika Griffith, SPC Provost of the college’s Downtown and Midtown centers, said. “If you’re interested in speaking with representatives from multiple organizations and having an on-site interview, you’ll definitely want to attend the St. Petersburg Downtown Job Fair.”

“I am excited for the job fair to get the community back on its feet and to help residents and small businesses thrive again,” said Sara Stonecipher, owner of MISRED Outfitters.

In addition to meeting with local employers, attendees can gain career-readiness training from both SPC Career Services and CareerSource Pinellas.

“With so many open positions in Pinellas County, we’re excited to help fill that need and give members of our community the opportunity to find sustainable careers,” said Kristopher Lucas with Business & Talent Development at CareerSource Pinellas. “This event not only provides access to career opportunities, it provides information about other resources available at the

Career Resource Centers such as training and career counseling. We truly appreciate the partnership with SPC and look forward to helping employers connect with job seekers.”

Facing the global pandemic’s impact on the economy and job market, St. Pete Works Program Manager Dr. Reginal Belizaire believes many residents will find opportunities for a fresh start and new career at this event.

“The past year has created barriers in one way or another for many residents. St. Pete Works is here to provide support to transition into a high-wage career and offer training solutions to achieve your goals,” Belizaire said.
