Theatre eXceptional brings “Children of a Lesser God” to Audiences of all kinds

Blended cast brings theatre to deaf and hard of hearing audiences in Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla (February 20, 2017) – Theatre Exceptional brings a mix of theater "for, about and including adults with disabilities" to tell the story of a young deaf girl's romance with a hearing teacher in Children of a Lesser God, coming to the Space at 2106 in Tampa March 17-19 and at the Palladium Side Door Stage in St. Petersburg on March 24.

Following a successful 2016 season with their “Ozian twist” on the Wizard of Oz, Theatre eXceptional is working with the Deaf Literacy of Tampa to perform Children of a Lesser God. This Tony award-winning play will feature a blended cast of professional actors, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing. All shows will be ASL interpreted for the audience.

This performance is brought to you in part by the Deaf Literacy Center in Safety Harbor and the Tampa Bay Lightning Foundation.
