Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck By Truck In Largo

LARGO, FL — A 60-year-old Orlando woman was critically injured after being struck by a tractor-trailer truck on 49th Street North.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on Tuesday at 8:39 a.m., a 51-year-old Gibsonton man was driving a tractor-trailer truck south in the left turn lane of 49th Street North at the intersection of 140th Avenue North.

The Orlando woman was walking north in the marked crosswalk of 49th Street North at the
intersection when the truck turned under a green signal and struck the woman.
