2017 Camping World Bowl: What To Know Before You Go

The Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Virginia Tech Hokies will face off in the 2017 Camping World Bowl in Orlando.

ORLANDO, FL – While it may have gone through several name changes since it moved to Orlando, the 2017 Camping World Bowl once again will provide an excellent opening act for the Citrus Bowl.

In a game that receives the first pick from the ACC and the second pick from the Big 12, the 2017 Camping World Bowl will see the Oklahoma State Cowboys taking on the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Date and Time

The 2017 Camping World Bowl is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, Dec. 28 at 5:15 p.m.

Location

The Camping World Bowl will take place at Camping World Stadium (formerly known as the Citrus Bowl), 1 Citrus Bowl Place in Orlando.

Tickets

Tickets to the 2017 Camping World Bowl start at $40 for standard tickets, but are on sale on the secondary market for much less. Oklahoma State is located on the west sideline while Virginia Tech will be on the East sideline. To purchase tickets, visit http://campingworldbowl.com/tickets/.

Teams

The 2017 Camping World Bowl will feature two teams seeking to reach double-digit wins for the season.

No. 22 Virginia Tech (9-3, 5-3 ACC) flew high for the first half of the season, starting with a win against No. 22 West Virginia and only losing to No. 2 Clemson. The Hokies faltered a bit during the stretch, dropping two straight games to Miami and Georgia Tech, but finished the year strong, including a hard-fought 10-0 win over rival Virginia.

No. 17 Oklahoma State (9-3, 6-3 Big 12) had a similar season to Virginia Tech. The Cowboys lost only one game to TCU in their first eight games before dropping two of three to Oklahoma and Kansas State.

Camping World Bowl events
