KISSIMMEE, FL ? A GOP leader was found safe after being kicked out of a Kissimmee hotel room for being under the influence, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said George Riley Jr., 43, was found safe Friday in Lake Buena Vista after being reported missing on April 3. He had last been seen in the area of Centerview Boulevard.

Riley is the executive director of the Republican Party of Florida.

Just two days before his recovery, Riley had been kicked out of a hotel room that he was accused of trashing, the Tampa Bay Times said, citing a police report.

He was accused of urinating and vomiting throughout the room, and routinely buying alcohol during his stay, the media outlet reported.

?I?m deeply sorry. I have been dealing with alcoholism and mental health issues,? Riley told the Tampa Bay Times. ?I will pay for any damages that were caused. I apologize to the employees for my bad behavior and I will be seeking help soon.?
