2018 Citrus Bowl Events: What To Know Before You Go

Several events are on the schedule before Notre Dame and LSU will face off on New Year's Day.

2017 Camping World Bowl and Events

In the week leading up to the 2018 Citrus Bowl, Orlando will play host to the 2017 Camping World Bowl, with Oklahoma State taking on Virginia Tech. 2017 Florida Citrus Parade

One of the largest sports-affiliated parades in the United States, the Florida Citrus Bowl takes place annually between the Camping World Bowl and the Citrus Bowl. The 2017 Florida Citrus Bowl is set to take place on Saturday, Dec. 30 in downtown Orlando.

Curbside seating is free and available as early as 6 a.m. Grandstand seating is available at Lake Eola Park, located on Rosalind Avenue between Central Avenue and Robinson Street, starting at 9:30 a.m. The Pre-Parade Show will begin at 10 a.m. The parade is set to begin at 11 a.m. and is expected to last until 1 p.m.

The 1.4 mile parade will begin on Orange Avenue and Robinson Street and will continue south to Orange, then east on Anderson Street, then north on Rosalind Avenue. The parade will end at Rosalind and Robison. Official food and beverage vendors will be on site at Washington Square Plaza along Rosalind Avenue at Lake Eola Park.

2018 Citrus Bowl Pep Rallies

The 2018 Citrus Bowl will host pep rallies for Notre Dame and LSU fans at i-Drive 360 entertainment complex, located at 8001 International Drive, on Sunday, Dec. 31. The pep rallies each will feature the schools’ bands and cheerleaders and the head coaches will make a special appearance. The Notre Dame pep rally is scheduled for 4 p.m. while the LSU pep rally is scheduled for 4:45 p.m.

Other attractions at the i-Drive 360 complex include the Orlando Eye Ferris wheel, the Sea Life Aquarium, Arcade City and Madame Tussauds Orlando.

2018 Citrus Bowl Fanfest

Ticketholders and fans of college football fun can head to Tinker Field, 287 S. Tampa Ave., to celebrate the 2018 Citrus Bowl Fanfest on Monday, Jan. 1. Starting at 9 a.m., the official bowl pre-game tailgate party will feature interactive games, live entertainment, inflatables interactive displays face painters and more. Admission is free and food and beverages from a wide range of local vendors will be available for purchase.

2018 Citrus Bowl Hospitality Pavilion

For fans looking for a more upscale pregame atmosphere, the 2018 Citrus Bowl Hospitality Pavilion will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1 at Tinker Field. The plaza features a climate-controlled VIP area featuring lounge seating and all-inclusive food and beverages. The team marching bands will appear to perform.
