ORLANDO, FL — A Brandon woman has been banned from Walt Disney World theme parks for life after getting into a physical fight with a taxi driver and kicking a deputy outside of Hollywood Studios.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, 53-year-old Ellen McMillion was seen striking a taxi driver several times outside Hollywood Studios just before 11 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, by a sheriff's deputy who was working a detail at the theme park.

The driver told the deputy that McMillion began hitting him when she asked him for a cigarette, and he told her he didn't have one.

Deputies said she appeared intoxicated. She was unsteady on her feet, had bloodshot eyes, was slurring her words and had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. When deputies asked for her identification, she threw her purse on the ground. At one point, she began shouting obscenities at families entering and leaving the theme park. When deputies tried to handcuff her, they said she kicked one of the deputies twice.

She was charged with disorderly intoxication and battery on a law enforcement officer. Disney World Security said McMillion has been given a lifetime ban from all Disney World theme parks, stating that the company has a no tolerance for violence policy.
